This program is self paced and deals with professionalism on the booking, negotiation and follow up within the meeting planning industry.

What does this entail?   There are 3 levels, each has audio, video and handouts that are to be reviewed prior to taking a multiple choice exam.  A passing score of 80% or higher is required to move onto the next level.   Each level also allows you to receive call for speaker leads that you can apply.

What will I learn?  Alot of what you will learn deals with the booking side of speaking, this doesn't cover any topics related to becoming a Speaker, you must come into the program with that skillset.  Some of what you will learn will also help you if you want to host your own events as well.  Here's a snapshot of what we cover in each level:

Level One

  • Your goals for speaking
  • The four elements for becoming a speaker/improving your speaking career, Expectations, Education, Experience and Execution
  • Your presentation, putting it together
  • Why you need to have a book, a website and a desire to be on the phone
Level Two
  • Free/Paid engagements
  • Determining your fee for today’s market
  • How to make money on the free events
  • Topics, Summaries, 3-5 takeaways, oh my!
  • Creating your PowerPoint, you will need one
  • Crafting an email for customization
  • Events, where to find them, how to customize the call for speaker’s form
  • What’s going on in the market, trade shows, conventions, colleges, high schools, private company events.

What is the cost?  The investment is $997.  This includes 6 months of Call for Speaker opportunities emailed to you weekly.  After six months, you can continue to receive the emails at a rate of $47 per month.

Is attendance required?  This is self paced.

What types of Planners do you work with?    Call for Speakers can be anywhere in the world but the Planners we work with directly are located in the U.S. and Canada.  We work with the Association and Trade show market, Independent Meeting Planners, College Meeting Planners and Private Company Planners as well.

Can I apply this to my CEC?  Our program is to support our mission and fulfill the promise we make to Meeting Planners.  Our program is not accredited so we are unable to help you secure credit.

What do I get upon completion of certification?  You get a physical certificate in the mail, a logo you can place on your website and a certification listing in our Magazine, Plan.Meet.Repeat.
